On the other hand, if you want to ensure that what you publish is error-free and avoid being the butt of the internet's cruel and unforgiving meme community then read on as you’ve come to the right place. Who knows, we could even become friends.

I recently ended a career spanning 35+ years drafting and reviewing various documents for government. So for me, it certainly marked the end of an era.
I treated each document as if it was the most important document ever drafted and was meticulous in eliminating any spelling and grammatical errors. I also ensured that formatting was consistent in each document and double-checked cross-references, where applicable. Whilst mathematics is far from a strong point of mine, I was still focussed on making sure all figures in documents added up.

But wait! Yes, there is more! I am actually qualified to provide you with this service, having completed a certificate in Publishing (Copyediting and Proofreading) in 2010 through Australian College.

And let's not forget the steak knives! I also wrote and self-edited a 157-page children's novel, with the publisher confirming there was not a single typo to be found. If you don't believe me, perhaps I can send you the details and you can purchase a copy and see for yourself...please.

I am meticulous. I am pedantic. I have an eagle-eye for detail and spotting errors. And I am patient. Basically, everything a proofreader needs to be. Believe it or not, proofreading to me is a form of relaxation. It’s like puzzle-solving.

PROOFREADING
I search for, identify and then correct any spelling, grammatical and formatting errors in your draft document.

Upon completion of the review you will receive one copy of your draft document with any errors identified and marked up with tracked changes, along with a 'clean' version with all changes accepted to give you an idea of what your document will look like.

You will also be provided with a summary of the changes I make, including an explanation for each change.
